Dr. Iyaad Hasan, DNP, CNP, has been a clinician for almost twenty years. He obtained his Doctorate of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Case Western Reserve University specializing in Family Practice.
He joined the Cleveland Clinic in 2003, expanding his clinicall and administrative role at the Taussig Cancer Center. In 2007, he became the founding Director of Tobacco Treatment Center within the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute. He served under the Secretary of Health in the Office of Public Health Emergency Preparedness as a Program Management Officer. In addition, he has served as a consult on several television shows, as well as being part of the core clinical team for the "Most Unhealthy American" on the Dr. Oz show.
His desire for health promotion and disease prevention comes from the lack of health knowledge in his Cleveland Arab community. He strives to help all people lead the healthiest lives through presentations that they can understand and share with their family and friends.
He left Cleveland Clinic main campus in 2016 to join Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi. He hopes to engage Abu Dhabi and the UAE to have better health literacy and knowledge through leading the CCAD Community Outreach Initiative in creating stronger and healthier Emirati lives.

Dr. Abdullah Shatnawei, is a Staff Physician in the Digestive Disease Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.

Danielle Scheurer, MD, MSCR is an adult Hospitalist physician, Professor of Medicine, and Chief Quality Officer at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC) Health System. She completed undergraduate studies at Emory University, medical school at The University of Tennessee, and Medicine-Pediatrics residency training at Duke University. She then joined MUSC as a Hospitalist, and completed her Masters in Clinical Research. Dr. Samer has joined the American Center as a Consultant Psychiatrist and Head of Department of Psychiatry. Dr. Benji Mathews graduated from the Institute of Technology at the University of Minnesota and the University of Minnesota Medical School. He completed his internal medicine residency and Chief Residency through the University of Minnesota. He joined HealthPartners and holds the titles of Chief of Hospital Medicine at Regions Hospital and Director of Point of Care Ultrasound (POCUS) for Hospital Medicine at HealthPartners. He is known as a master clinician with extensive expertise in diagnostic reasoning, diagnostic error, and point of care ultrasound.
Dr. Mathews has a passion for medical education, care delivery, and quality. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine and served as a core faculty of the University of Minnesota Internal Medicine Residency Program. He led the development of the Resident Assessment and Coaching Program (RAC) as part of the Clinical Competency Committee for the residency program. Dr. Mathews is active locally and nationally with the Society of Hospital Medicine (SHM) where he has served on many national committees. Dr. Guzman is a fellow of the American College of Critical Care and led ICU operations and the development of the ICU telemedicine program (eHospital) at the Cleveland Clinic. He was appointed to Cleveland Clinic's medical staff in 2007.
Dr. Guzman received his medical degree from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Córdoba, Argentina, in 1988. His specialty expertise includes the treatment of ischemic heart disease, structural heart and valve disease, invasive coronary imaging, cardiomyopathy, coronary interventions and endovascular therapies for peripheral artery disease.

Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Traina was an Associate Professor at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), California, US. He was also Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at Olive View-UCLA Medical Center, where he doubled the capacity of the laboratory and introduced complex coronary interventions and the radial catheterization approach. During this time, Dr. Traina performed over 6,000 cardiac catheterizations, using advanced techniques and minimally invasive approaches.
Dr. Traina was the Associate Program Director of the Cardiology fellowship at UCLA, overseeing the training of over thirty fellows annually. He also served as core faculty of Internal Medicine Residency, supervising over eighty residents every year. He is known as a dedicated educator and has won several teaching awards.
He was born and raised in Los Angeles, California, US and received his medical degree from the University of California, Davis, California. His postgraduate training was at the University of California, Los Angeles, where he completed his training in Internal Medicine, Cardiology and Interventional Cardiology.
Dr. Traina’s research interests include optimization of radial access approaches, evaluation and management of cardiomyopathies and novel management of acute heart failure and atrial fibrillation. He has participated in multiple international multicenter trials and has over forty publications and abstracts in peer-reviewed journals. He has also been an invited speaker at both national and international conferences.

Rajaie Namas, is the Section Head of Rheumatology at the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Namas served at the University of Michigan as a Clinical Lecturer for two years, and was supported by the National Institute of Arthritis, Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases. Hussein Saadi, is the Institute Chair of the Medical Subspecialties Institute at Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, where he oversees nine medical subspecialties including dermatology, endocrinology, hematology and oncology, hospital medicine, infectious disease, general internal medicine, nephrology and rheumatology.
Prior to joining Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi, Dr. Saadi was Professor and Chairman of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, UAE University, and Consultant Endocrinologist at Tawam Hospital in Abu Dhabi. He is a former member of the Cleveland Clinic Departments of General Internal Medicine and Endocrinology staff in the US.
Dr. Saadi is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and the American College of Endocrinology. Dr. Saadi is also a Clinical Professor of Medicine at Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University. Dr. Grobmyer received his medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed his residency in General Surgery at New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center in New York. Dr. Ahmad Nusair, MD, obtained his medical degree from Jordan University of Science and Technology in 1997. He did his internship in internal medicine and worked as a Trauma House Officer between 1998 and 2002. In 2005, Dr. Nusair completed training in Internal Medicine at Western Reserve Care System, Northeast Ohio Medical University. Upon completion of his Fellowship in Infectious Diseases in the combined program at Creighton University and the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2007, Dr. Nusair joined the faculty at Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Dr. Nusair returned to Marshall University in 2011 after completing his fellowship training in Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He was promoted to Associate Professor in 2011.
In addition to his academic and clinical responsibilities at Marshall University, Dr. Nusair served as the Chief for the section of Infectious Diseases at Marshal University. Silvia Mulero was born and raised in Barcelona, got her Medical Degree in Universitat de Barcelona and engaged in the Post-Graduate Education in Hospital Clinic de Barcelona, one of the finest institutions Spain, where both clinical and academical excellence are part of the daily routine along with an outstanding research record. In 2006, she moved to a different setting in Mallorca, a gorgeous island in the Mediterranean Sea with a great life-work balance. There she co-Directed the postgraduate training program, supervised the Anesthetic Activity in the Procedural Areas, and got involved in Patient Safety Enhancement and Chronic Pain Management. After 5 years she felt it was time for a change and moved to Madrid, where she worked in private practices with special interest in Anesthesia for Thoracic Surgery. Dr. Mulero set the grounds and directed the Chronic Pain Treatment Unit in the Hospital Universitario Rey Juan Carlos.
Looking for new challenges she then moved to Riyadh in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in 2013 where she experienced the thrill of working in a massive trauma center and got some exposure to pediatric and obstetric complex anesthetics. Dr. Mulero participated as well in the Liver Transplant Team both in the Preoperative Selection and Optimization as in the intraoperative management.
In 2015 she joined Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi that was at the time a very young institution aiming to bring the best of European and American ways of practicing medicine together. Dr. Mulero got more involved in Perioperative Medicine through my practice in the Pre-Anesthesia Clinic and in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit. The knowledge that what we do in the preoperative phase can have significant impact in patient’s long-term outcomes motivated Dr. Mulero to set up a whole new service making the UK motto “fitter, better, sooner” ours.
